Knowing I've had bad experiences in the past, I completely ignored all of my previous trauma I experienced on public transportation and did it anyways. If anyone knows me, they know I have the WORST luck with PT (Public Transportation).</div> <br /> <div>Let's start this story off with a few previous bad experiences I've had.</div> <br /> <div>NUMBER ONE: I was on my way home from work. At this point in time, it was June of 2023, and around this time, my only form of transportation that I SOLELY relied on (my Nissan S-Cargo) had shit the bed again. I honestly have no idea why this vehicle gave me constant issues. My friend that I bought it off of told me that it was a great vehicle; turns out IT'S NOT. But that's a story for another time.</div> <br /> <div>Anyways, I was making my way to the bus, and at this time I was actually pretty relieved I didn't have to deal with the city traffic for once. Public transportation wasn't looking so bad after all! At least that's what I thought.</div> <br /> <div>I boarded the bus and everything was pretty normal for the first 10 minutes (mind you, my commute on the bus was extended by an extra 30 minutes due to all the stops we had to make because I wasn't driving myself). So we go to the next stop. At this point, the bus was actually starting to get pretty full, and I had completely forgot how bad I do in tight spaces. And I know how ridiculous that sounds because I live in NYC, but this was different. If you live in the Big Apple, you'd know what I'm sayin'.</div> <br /> <div>So the bus started to fill up. I had a window seat and there were 2 seats to the left of me, and yes, those seats did begin to get filled due to us picking up more passengers. The woman sitting on the most outer aisle seat didn't bother me as much; she actually minded her own business, as most people on the bus do. But of course, JUST MY LUCK, the gentleman sitting next to me who called himself Maxwell was so (and I cannot stress this enough) fucking annoying.</div> <br /> <div>Everything about this guy was repulsive. For starters, he wore headphones around his neck blasting Trap Nation songs—like bro, wear the fucking headphones around your ears maybe? That's what they're fucking for! That's not even the worst part, though. While he was blasting music, he was actually trying to have a conversation with me WHILE eating a small bag of Cheeto Puffs. And he wore one of those all-over-print ramen hoodies; he looked fucking ridiculous and acted like it, too.</div> <br /> <div>Anyways, while he was trying to talk to me, he was eating, blasting music, and talking about the stupidest fucking bullshit I've ever heard in my whole life, and that's not an exaggeration. He was asking me questions like, "So like, you know how der's dose can and bottle return places? Where da fuck do dey put all dat stuff? Like, do it go to some rich guy who like to make forts out of it? Like, wut da heck?!"</div> <br /> <div>I would usually reply with something like, "Yeah man, idk." Then he would reply, "What?! I can't hear you, it's really loud in here!" Like, yeah, no shit, you fucking idiot. You're blasting Trap Nation remixes out of your headphones that you're not even wearing, and the engine of the bus isn't necessarily the quietest thing in the world.</div> <br /> <div>Anyways, this lasted for 40 MORE MINUTES. And from that day, I never took the bus again. I had to eat a whole bowl of narco berries when I got home just to get some good sleep and to get rid of the massive headache I gained from talking to Maxwell.</div> <br /> <div>Now for my experience today. As you might assume, my Nissan S-Cargo doesn't work anymore. Yes, now I know: NEVER buy a Nissan S-Cargo again.</div> <br /> <div>Anyways, I get down to the subway and I'm waiting for my train to arrive. It's a relatively short ride as I walk most of the way and just take the subway for that final stretch. And I should add that my bad experience this time wasn't even actually on the train; it was on the side areas where you wait for the train. Today it was actually looking pretty convenient because there were only like 7 people waiting down there. Very peaceful other than the fact that it smelled like a subway, but that's a given; I can live with that.</div> <br /> <div>As I'm waiting for the subway, I hear someone yelling in the distance: "Hey! Mike, Mike, HEY YO!"</div> <br /> <div>I turned around... yep, idk how the fuck this happened, but it was Maxwell. I was a bit concerned that this guy was stalking me, but with one second of critical thinking, I remembered that this Maxwell character was too fucking stupid to do something that requires any amount of focus.</div> <br /> <div>I tried ignoring him, but he just came up to me anyways. He actually grabbed me by the shoulder and spun me around like I was some sort of ragdoll. I actually raged at this point. I screamed absurdities at him. Everyone was staring at me and Maxwell was looking at me, laughing hysterically. I was so confused by this, I asked him, "Why the fuck are you laughing? I'm not joking, and I seriously hate you."</div> <br /> <div>He replied, "Yeah, well, this is just how everyone talks to me." Figures so.</div> <br /> <div>Not to mention, when he grabbed my shoulder, his fingertips were absolutely coated in Cheeto Puff dust, leaving a mark on my white dress shirt. He said, "Hey, look! It's like a sign or something, like my mark is on your shirt. You'll remember me forever!" Yeah right, I will remember you forever—for being the biggest fucking idiot I've ever met in my life.</div> <br /> <div>Anyways, at this point I decided to just walk home from there. It was an extra 10 minutes, but I'd say it was absolutely worth it. How'd I break off from Maxwell? I didn't. He followed me home and talked my ear off the entire way. Now he knows where I live and he stops by every day trying to invite himself in. I tried to get a restraining order on him, but I don't think he even understands what that is because he just shows up anyways. Every. Day. And the police are no help; there's bigger fish to fry in NYC. I just have to live with this for the rest of my existence.</div> <br /> <div>What the fuck do I do?</div> </div></blockquote><br>
